BROWNWOOD REUNION CELEBRATION


On September 17, 18, & 19, 2010, Brownwood, Texas will host the 10th annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration featuring national country stars, a midway, vendors, breathtaking fireworks and an area dedicated to children’s entertainment. The Reunion, an award winning festival is designed to make everyone in attendance feel right at home – on the streets of Brownwood.

In its 10th year, the festival is expected to draw thousands from Brownwood and surrounding communities. It will be promoted regionally and nationally. Admission is free to the festival ground, excluding the concert area. Parking is free.

EXHIBITOR ROW showcases artists, commercial, and professional services for the sale, distribution, and information of products including retail, service and non-profit areas.
Vendors must be open during the event hours as follows:

Friday, September 17th 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 18th 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 19th 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.


FOOD COURT will feature a variety of tastes and delicacies. Food vendors are limited and will be chosen by experience, cleanliness, and menu choices. Vendors must be open during the event hours as follows:

Friday, September 17th 5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 18th 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m.
Sunday, September 19th 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

A selection committee will review vendors and exhibitors for uniqueness of product, originality, creativity, quality craftsmanship, and excellence in display when making its choices.


1st ANNUAL REUNION CAKE-OFF
ENTRY FORMS AVAILABLE
(August 19, 2010, Brownwood, Texas.) First Annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration CAKE-OFF was announced by Reunion organizers as a new competition. “Brownwood is known for great cooking, but this contest takes the cake. The Reunion is looking for teams of 2 willing to take the 1st Annual Reunion Cake-Off Challenge. The challenge is to decorate a themed cake in 4 hours under the watchful eyes of judges and an audience,” said Gina Powers, Cake-Off Chairman.

The Reunion CAKE-OFF will take place on Sat., Sept. 18 during the celebration
weekend, inside the Lehnis Railroad Museum at700 East Adams, Brownwood, TX. There are two categories for cake decorators, amateur and professional, for those entering and prizes will be awarded in both. For those wanting to just watch the cake decorators work their magic, they will be charged a $2.00 entry fee that will also allow them to view the exhibits in the Lehnis Railroad Museum. Entry forms for the CAKE-OFF are available online at www.brownwoodtx.com and also at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce.

Rules:
Teams will be required to provide their own unfrosted, undecorated cakes.
Pre-made decorations will be allowed
Two categories are offered: amateur or professional
Teams will be given a 4x6 table and small work station.
Teams must complete entry form and pay $10.00 entry fee by Sept. 15th @ 5pm
Teams will have 4 hours to decorate their cakes.

Theme of Cakes: Brownwood Reunion Celebration 10th Anniversar

Judging: Decorating will take place from 9-1 on Sat. Sept. 18.
Judging will take place Sat. from 1:30-2:00pm and cakes will be on display until 4:30
Cakes will be judged based on 20% taste, 50% decoration, 30% theme

Awards:
Both Amateur and Professional: Winning Cakes will be presented on Saturday’s Main Stage and served to public. Winning Teams will also receive $150.00 in prize money and will be featured on Jumbo trons during the main concert.

10th Annual Brownwood Reunion Celebration

(August 16, 2010, Brownwood, Texas.) Reunion organizers announced today BBQ Cook-off Entry Forms will be available online www.BrownwoodTX.com and at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce beginning @ 8:00am on Wednesday, Aug. 18th. RV spaces are limited and are available on a first paid entry basis. With the new location, Reunion organizers are expecting more many teams to join in the fun.

NEW FOR 2010:

  • BBQ Cook-off will take place at a new location, across from the Lehnis Train Museum at 700 East Adams on Sept. 17& 18
  • RV SPOTS LIMITED TO and reserved by 1st 17 paid entries with additional $40 RV Fee.
  • No Electrical or water provided except at pd RV spots. Additional 40 no electrical or water spots available
  • RV SPACES WILL BE ASSIGNED A SPACE BASED ON ORDER OF PAID ENTRY.
  • Please, No Arrivals before 8:00 am, Friday Sept. 17.
